Graphic/Web Designer required for ongoing contract work.

The Requirements
The ideal candidate will be proficient in at least 3 – 4 of the following:
Photoshop
Typography
Illustrator
InDesign
Dreamweaver (or other HTML editing)
You MUST already have an understanding of CMS systems and other web technology
Joomla
Wordpress
CMS simple
Some PHP or coding knowledge would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
The work is to be carried out in our Galway office.
Some meeting with clients will be required so you will need a degree of confidence , manners and willingness to meet with people and represent the company in a professional manner.
Payment will be via contract so will suit someone already self employed or thinking of starting on Back to Work or similar scheme.
The person
We are looking for someone with a lot of drive who can work to a deadline without supervision if required. You will need to have a flare for all things design. The position is primarily for web design but a lot of printed design is still being done and you will need to have the skills to switch between the two and understand the design process for both. A keen interest in photography would also be a very welcome attribute!
You will have a string portfolio which we can view before calling for an interview.
The Deal
The successful candidate is required to undergo 40 hours training in our office during which time your work will be assessed, you will be given an allowance for travel and lunch etc. during that period, we will then discuss terms if you are the right person for the job.
In return you will be given full training on all aspects of what we do including print, web, programming, person to person skills, Social network integration, e-commerce, marketing, web hosting and server management.
